Retail Store Closure & Fixture Sales
End-to-end retail closures: inventory liquidation, fixture sales, lease compliance, and clean handoff — across one location or many.
How It Works
Closing retail locations is far more than turning off the lights. There's inventory to liquidate, fixtures and equipment to sell, lease obligations to meet, and a store to hand back clean and on time. VaultXL runs the entire closure: we map each store's lease timeline, run down inventory through retail and wholesale channels, catalog and value every fixture, sell across the right channels, responsibly dispose of what's left, and return each space broom-clean. You get one point of contact, one master schedule across every location, and a financial summary that shows exactly what came back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — that's the core of this service. We build one master schedule across every store, back each location's work off its lease surrender date, and sequence crews and trucks so nothing slips past a deadline.
Most single locations are completed within 20–45 days depending on inventory volume and lease terms. Multi-location closures run in parallel on a coordinated timeline. We confirm exact dates after walking each site.
We follow a value-first hierarchy: sell at retail/wholesale, then to other retailers and equipment buyers, then liquidate remaining lots in bulk, then donate or responsibly dispose. Nothing of value goes to a landfill before it's been valued.
Yes. We remove signage, cap or remove built-in fixtures as the lease requires, complete the broom-clean, and document the returned condition with photos so your deposit isn't at risk in a dispute.
Closures are priced by scope — single location, multi-location, or enterprise — starting at $2,500. If you opt into resale management for inventory and fixtures, we work on a flat 15% commission and you keep 85% of what sells.

“What particularly impressed me was his sophisticated approach to consignment. He uses industry-leading tools and market data to determine appropriate pricing and product placement rather than simply guessing at what an item might bring. My two most expensive items were sold quickly, professionally, and securely. Consigning valuable belongings can require a significant amount of trust, and Charles earned mine very quickly.”
