Most showrooms already run a sample sale. It clears a lot in a weekend, at weekend prices, to whoever can come that day. What is left goes to a closeout buyer or back to the warehouse, and the warehouse fills up market after market.
Listing online changes who can buy. A sofa in a fabric that did not make the line, a dining table from a collection that was dropped, eight upholstered chairs in a discontinued colour: each has buyers across North Carolina who would pay well for a new, never-delivered piece if they knew it existed. We list each piece with its maker, collection, fabric or finish and exact dimensions, and answer every question about it.
We know a maker may not want samples undercutting its own retailers. Pricing rules are agreed in writing before anything is listed, including any floor or minimum advertised price, and a piece can be listed without the brand name if the line requires it.
Interior designers and stagers have the same problem on a smaller scale: pieces a client turned down, returns that would cost more to send back than they are worth, and stock from a showroom that has closed. A designer's warehouse is a showroom too, and we sell from it the same way.
Furniture does not ship through us. Buyers collect from your dock after paying in full, in windows you set, or arrange their own freight. We cover High Point, Thomasville, Lexington and Hickory from Charlotte, and the rest of the Triad and North Carolina by arrangement.

Why VaultXL.
Between markets, not one weekend
A sample sale reaches whoever can come on Saturday. A listing reaches buyers across the state for as long as the piece is available.
Your pricing rules
Floors, minimum advertised prices and unbranded listings are set by you in writing, so samples never undercut the retailers who carry the line.
New described as new, floor models as floor models
A never-delivered sample is listed as new. A floor model is listed with its scuffs and fading photographed, so a buyer is not surprised at the dock.
A supplier every season
Market comes round twice a year. Once we have worked together, each season's samples go into the same account without starting over.

Frequently asked.
Not if the pricing rules say it can't. Before anything is listed we agree floors, any minimum advertised price, and whether the brand appears in the listing. Many samples sell well described only by style, material and dimensions.
Yes. They are described honestly, with any marks, fading or loose joints photographed, and priced for their condition. Buyers who expect a floor model are happy with one; buyers who expect new are not, so we never blur the two.
Yes. Client returns, pieces a client turned down, and stock from a closed showroom all sell the same way, from wherever they are stored.
Yes, by appointment in windows you set and only after they have paid. Buyers who cannot collect arrange their own freight; furniture never ships through us.
A few weeks before market. That way the pieces leaving the floor can be photographed and listed as soon as market closes, while the showroom is still set up.
Every project is quoted in writing after a free walkthrough: a non-refundable setup fee set in your quote, and 15% of what sells after marketplace fees. You keep 85%.
