Technology

Not Your Average Estate Company

VaultXL uses AI and marketplace automation to identify, price, and sell your items faster and for more than traditional estate sale methods.

AI-Powered Item Analysis

Photograph an item and our AI identifies the exact product, researches comparable sales, generates SEO-optimized listing copy, and recommends the best marketplace and price point.

Every Channel, Right Item

Not every piece sells the same way. We run on-site estate sales, list online across eBay, Shopify, and Etsy, move local goods through Facebook Marketplace, and route specialty pieces to consignment and auction. When an item sells on one channel, it's delisted from the others. No double-selling, no manual tracking.

Real-Time Customer Portal

Track your project from anywhere. See every item, its status and value, financial summaries, documents, and message your team directly. Updated every 30 seconds.

Customer Portal

Track Your Project in Real Time

Every VaultXL client gets a private portal where you can see exactly where your project stands, what items have been cataloged, what has sold and for how much, and message your project lead directly.

  • Live project pipeline with stage-by-stage progress
  • Every item photographed, categorized, and tracked
  • Financial dashboard: fees, proceeds, recovery value
  • PDF proposals, contracts, invoices, donation receipts
  • Direct messaging with your project team
  • Storage inventory with retrieval requests

Common Questions

VaultXL is headquartered in Charlotte, NC and currently books projects throughout the greater Charlotte metro. We're expanding to Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, Asheville, Greenville/Spartanburg, and Columbia in 2026 — you can join a market's waitlist from our service areas page.

Every project is different. Estate cleanouts and downsizing projects are quoted after a free assessment. Resale services operate on commission — we only earn when your items sell. Storage is billed monthly based on volume.

Schedule a free consultation through our website or call us directly. We’ll discuss your situation, visit the property if needed, and provide a clear plan and quote within 48 hours.

We follow a value-first hierarchy: sell, consign, donate (with tax-receipt documentation), then responsibly dispose. We never send items with remaining value to a landfill.

Absolutely. Many of our estate and downsizing clients coordinate entirely remotely. We provide regular photo updates, video walkthroughs, detailed inventory reports, and a dedicated point of contact.

Both. We offer full-service estate transitions from walkthrough to broom-clean handoff, but we also provide individual services like resale, storage, or donation coordination as standalone offerings.

Yes. VaultXL is fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We carry comprehensive liability coverage and all items in our storage facility are insured.

Junk removal companies throw things away. VaultXL recovers value. We inventory, appraise, sell, consign, and donate before anything is disposed of — and we provide full documentation and financial reporting throughout.

A letter from the founder

I lost both of my parents within six months of each other.

I'm an only child. The house — the one I grew up in, still full of a lifetime of things — was mine to empty. I learned how much of that work is physical. How much of it is emotional. I did it because I had to.

VaultXL exists so I can do this work for someone else now.

In a season of grief, we are here to carry some of the weight.
