Chairish is a curated online marketplace for vintage and antique furniture, decor and art. Interior designers and serious buyers shop it because every listing is reviewed by Chairish's curators before it goes live, so it is not a place for everyday furniture. It suits pieces with a maker, a period, an artist or a design story: Chippendale and Federal case pieces, mid-century designer seating, gilt mirrors, Asian ceramics, signed paintings and prints, and well-known modern brands.
Selling there yourself takes more work than most people expect. Each listing needs measured dimensions, shipping dimensions, the period it was made, materials, style, condition notes and a set of clean photos, and a weak listing is either turned down by the curators or sits unseen. Pricing is the hardest part. Chairish takes a commission on the sale price, buyers expect to make offers, and once a price is marked down it can never be raised again, so the first price has to be right.
We do that work. At the walkthrough we pick out the pieces that suit Chairish and say plainly which would do better somewhere else. We research each one against completed sales, measure and photograph it, write a listing that says only what the evidence supports, and set the price so that what is left after Chairish's commission is worth having. Everything else in the house goes to the channel that suits it, whether that is our own shop, eBay or local pickup.
Furniture stays in your home until it sells. Chairish arranges insured shipping that the buyer pays for, and local buyers can collect. Pickups are booked for set times and confirmed with you in advance, your address is shared only with a buyer who has paid, and nothing leaves until payment is confirmed. We then take the listing down everywhere else it appears and settle with you in writing.
We work from Charlotte across the surrounding area: Myers Park, Eastover, SouthPark, Dilworth, Ballantyne, Lake Norman, Weddington, Waxhaw, Fort Mill and the rest of the region.

Why VaultXL.
Picked for the right market
Chairish rewards a short list of strong pieces. We put forward the ones its buyers want and send the rest to channels where they will actually sell.
Priced once, priced right
A Chairish markdown can't be undone. We set the first price from completed sales and the commission, not from hope, so the piece doesn't have to chase its own price down.
Honest attribution
We describe a maker or artist only as far as the evidence goes, and say so when a signature or label can't be confirmed. Curators and buyers trust a careful listing.
Your photos, not a retouch
The piece is shown as it is. We clean up the background behind it but never alter the piece itself, so what arrives matches what the buyer saw.
Your name stays off it
Listings never name you or your family. Provenance is described as a private Charlotte collection unless you ask for more.

Frequently asked.
Pieces with a maker, period or design story: antique and vintage case furniture, mid-century and designer seating, mirrors, lighting, ceramics, and signed art and prints. Mass-market furniture, worn upholstery and pieces without a clear story usually do better locally, and we will tell you which is which at the walkthrough.
You can, and some people do. The work is in the research, measurements, photos, curator requirements, pricing around the commission, answering offers and arranging freight. If you would rather hand all of that off, along with the rest of the house, that is what we do.
No. Pieces are photographed and listed where they stand, and stay in your home until they sell. Then Chairish's shipper or a local buyer collects at a time booked with you in advance, and only after payment is confirmed. Your address is shared only with a buyer who has paid.
New listings wait for curator review, which can take a week or more, and good pieces then sell over weeks or months rather than days. Chairish suits pieces worth waiting for. If you need a house cleared by a date, we plan the rest of the sale around it.
No. Chairish's curators review every listing and decline some. Some categories, such as jewelry and watches, need extra approval. We only put forward pieces we expect to pass, and anything declined goes to another channel.
No. We research and price for sale; we don't authenticate. Where a piece may need a formal appraisal or an expert opinion before it is sold, we tell you so before listing it.
Every project is quoted in writing after a free walkthrough: a non-refundable setup fee set in your quote, and 15% of what sells after marketplace fees, including Chairish's commission. You keep 85%.
